With 45 years of combined experience, attorneys Shawn Sullivan and Kate Hoover provide knowledgeable, thorough legal guidance to clients in Martinsburg and throughout the Cove. Shawn P. Sullivan
A fourth-generation lawyer from a family of lawyers, Shawn has been serving Blair, Bedford, Cambria, and Huntingdon counties since 1984. He’s a graduate of Villanova University and Seton Hall University School of Law with decades of experience in many areas of the law. In his current practice he focuses on wills and estate planning, elder law, estate administration, real estate transactions, municipal law, and charitable institutions. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is a title agent for Old Republic National Title Company. In his real estate practice, he represents mortgage lenders, buyers, and borrowers in residential and commercial matters. His estate practice includes probate, estate administration, guardianships, and family business transition planning in collaboration with financial experts. A frequent speaker on trusts, probate, and title law, he is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Land Title Association, and Pennsylvania Land Title Association. Katelyn Hoover
Born and raised in Martinsburg and a graduate of Central High School, Katelyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University. She furthered her education at Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2018. After passing the Pennsylvania Bar Examination, she became an Assistant District Attorney in the Blair County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting individuals charged with criminal offenses by law enforcement. In January 2023, she joined Sullivan Law Offices, focusing on several different areas of law, including Estate Planning and Administration, Real Estate, and Corporate Law. The firm also serves as Solicitor for several local municipalities. Katelyn is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the United States Supreme Court.
